If Coachella is on your 2027 vision board, the planning starts now. Here's everything that's been announced, plus the real-world tips I wish I'd had my first time.

The dates

Coachella 2027 returns to the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California across two weekends: April 9 to 11 and April 16 to 18, 2027. Both weekends have the same lineup, so pick based on price and your schedule.

Tickets and prices

Advance passes went on sale in May 2026. Pricing released so far:

3-day GA: from about $599 (Weekend 1) and $549 (Weekend 2)
VIP: from about $1,299 (Weekend 1) and $1,249 (Weekend 2)

Coachella uses tiered pricing with no difference in access between tiers, you simply pay less the earlier you buy. Weekend 2 is typically the slightly cheaper, less crowded option. Most people use the official payment plan to spread the cost over months.

Watch the calendar: the lineup is usually announced between October and December, and passes can move fast after that. If you know you want to go, locking a pass on a payment plan before the lineup drop is the budget-friendly play.

Where to stay

Two routes: on-site camping (car or tent, the full festival experience and the best value) or a hotel/rental in Indio, La Quinta, or Palm Springs with a shuttle or rideshare in. Hotels in the area sell out and surge, so book early. Splitting a house with friends is usually the sweet spot on cost and comfort.

A real planner's tips

Budget beyond the ticket: lodging, travel, food, and outfits add up fast. Plan the whole number.
Arrive early each day to beat traffic and security lines.
Set a meetup spot, cell service gets spotty in big crowds.
Pace yourself, it's a marathon across two long days. Hydrate, snack, and rest in the shade.
