Rider Switch (also called Baby Swap) is the single best parent hack at Disney, and so many families don't know about it. It lets both grown-ups ride the big attractions without waiting in line twice. Here is exactly how it works.
How it works
- The whole group approaches the ride and tells a cast member you want Rider Switch
- One adult rides while the other waits with the child
- Then you swap, the second adult rides without going through the full line again
- Older kids can often ride twice, once with each parent
Tips to make it seamless
- Ask at the entrance before you split up
- Use the wait for a snack, a diaper change, or a nearby kiddie ride
- Check the app for exact steps, the process is now handled digitally on many rides
