My Everyday No-Makeup Makeup Look

My favorite kind of makeup is the kind nobody can tell I am wearing. Just me, evened out and glowy, like I slept eight hours and drank all my water. Which, as a mom of two, is almost never true.
The no-makeup makeup look is my most-worn face by far. It is quick, it is soft, and it holds up through school pickups and Florida heat. Here are the MAC pieces I lean on to get that effortless, barely-there finish.
A soft, skin-like base
MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation
For a natural look I use just a tiny bit of Studio Fix and press it in where I need it, mostly around my nose and any redness. Because it is buildable, I can keep it super sheer so it looks like better skin instead of full coverage. My freckles still peek through and I love that.

Blushbaby is a soft, natural pink-brown that looks like a real flush. I keep it light and blend it up toward my cheekbones. This is the shade that makes me look healthy without looking done.

For a your-lips-but-better finish, I softly fill my lips with Spice and top it with balm. It gives a warm, natural tint that looks like I just have nice lips. This is my laziest, most-worn lip.

How do I keep foundation from looking heavy?
Use way less than you think and press it only where you need it. I keep Studio Fix super sheer and let my real skin show through in the spots that are already even. Setting it with a mist of Fix+ instead of heavy powder keeps it skin-like.
What makes a lip look natural?
Applying it with your finger and choosing a soft warm tone like Spice. Pressing the color in instead of painting it on gives that diffused, just-bitten finish that reads like your natural lip, only a little better.
