Fourth of July at Disney World and Orlando 2026

Watching Disney fireworks light up the night sky over a crowd — Fireworks over the park are the whole reason we stay till the very last minute.

Fourth of July in Orlando is one of my favorite nights of the year, and 2026 is a big one because Disney is running extra fireworks across three nights. Here is where to catch the shows at the parks, the free fireworks around town, and exactly what I pack so a late fireworks night with little kids actually goes well.

Fireworks at the Disney parks (July 3, 4, and 5)

Magic Kingdom: Disney's Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky at 9:00 PM on July 3, 4, and 5 (Happily Ever After does not play those nights)
EPCOT: Heartbeat of Freedom at 9:15 PM on July 3, 4, and 5, right after the 9:00 PM Luminous The Symphony of Us
Three nights means smaller crowds: going on July 3 or 5 is usually calmer than the 4th itself

Fireworks at Universal and LEGOLAND

Universal Studios Florida: a Fourth of July fireworks show over the park, typically around 10:00 PM on July 4
LEGOLAND Florida: usually caps off July 4 with its Red, White and BOOM fireworks (confirm the date on their site before you go)

Free fireworks around Orlando

Lake Eola Park (downtown): the annual Fireworks at the Fountain on July 4, usually around 9:10 PM
Celebration Town Center: a family-friendly Fourth of July celebration on July 4, often from about 5:00 to 10:00 PM
Go early and bring chairs: free shows fill up, so stake out a spot before dark

Not everyone in my group is in the toddler trenches yet, so here is the grown-ups version for a fun, low-stress Fourth. Same great fireworks, a lot more spontaneity.

Rooftop or waterfront bar downtown: grab a spot near Lake Eola for the free Fireworks at the Fountain without fighting the family crowds
Disney Springs or CityWalk: dinner, drinks, and you can often catch park fireworks glowing over the skyline, no park ticket needed
A resort pool day into evening: a lounge-all-day, watch-fireworks-at-night kind of Fourth (see my resort day pass trick)
Go later, stay out: the whole point of no kids is you can catch the 10:00 PM Universal show and grab a late bite after

What to pack for a fireworks night with kids

Ear protection for babies and toddlers (fireworks are loud up close)
A stroller fan and cooling towel for the Florida heat
Glow bracelets or a light-up toy to keep little ones happy during the wait
A portable charger so your phone survives all the photos and the walk out
