Deciding to homeschool was not a snap decision for us. It was a lot of late-night talks, a lot of second-guessing, and finally a gut feeling that this was the right season for our family. Do I need to be a teacher to homeschool?
No. I am just a mom who cares and is willing to learn alongside my kids. There are so many resources now that walk you through it. What matters most is showing up consistently and keeping it warm.
How do you have the patience for it?
Some days I do not, honestly. I lean on routine, snacks, and short lessons. Little ones do best in short bursts, so we keep things brief and end on a good note.
What if we try it and it does not work?
Then we adjust. Homeschooling is not all or nothing, and there is no shame in changing course. We take it one season at a time and give ourselves permission to tweak what is not working.
