The Festival of the Arts is EPCOT's quietest, most underrated festival, and one of my favorites to bring the kids to. It's visual art, performing art, and edible art all over the park, and best of all it's included with regular admission. Here's how to plan for it.

When is it?

Official 2027 dates have not been announced yet (Disney usually reveals them in October). Going by recent years, expect it to run roughly mid-January through late February 2027, the 2026 festival ran January 16 to February 23. I'll update this once the dates are official.

Why it's great with kids: January and February are cooler and less crowded, the festival is included with admission, and there's a surprising amount for little ones to do between the art and the food.

What to expect

Food Studios, small, artful plates from around the world (the deconstructed dishes are beautiful and very shareable).
Visual art galleries and artists creating live, plus giant chalk art on the ground you can watch come to life.
The Figment scavenger hunt, a paid activity kids love: follow the map, find Figment, redeem a prize.
Disney on Broadway concerts (a dining package can get you reserved seating).
Photo-op art installations all over World Showcase, the paint-palette and 3D chalk spots are a must.

What to bring

A light jacket, Florida winter evenings actually get chilly
Comfy shoes and a stroller for the little ones (lots of walking around World Showcase)
A refillable water bottle and a portable charger
Cash or card for the Food Studios, the plates are pay-as-you-go
